Marehan Sandstone

About 36km east of Tabakka town Of the hills, and outcrops that dot the jagged landscape at Tabakka especially to the north, and northeast region, the Marehan Outcrop is perhaps the most dramatic and clear-cut of them. This sandstone formation rises 200feet above the surrounding low limestone hillock. with its striking arc of strike ridges. Mostly “red” the Marehan appears to adjust colours at different times of day.  At dawn, and dusk the site is marked by a bright orange glow. The little-known Marehan has lots of possibilities as a hikers paradise
