The one advantage of having so many tribes is that there are a lot of diverse cultures and even diversity in food. There have always been a lot of stereotypes about different regions, tribes and cultures on how they cook or eat their food. Still, over the years, we have seen such stereotypes die down as more people embrace traditional food from other regions.
Osumo big fish was popular on Twitter, with people recommending it as an excellent place to have authentic tilapia fish from lake victoria at an affordable price. What once started as a makeshift shop became a permanent base capable of having more clients and improved service delivery standards.
Osumo big fish has two locations, one along Thika road just opposite roasters hotel, and the other opened in 2021 in Westlands.
The restaurant is famed for its tilapia fish which comes in different sizes, which also differentiates the price. The menu is simple and straight to the point, with fish being the primary offering which is served with ugali, salsa and kale. Alternatively, you can get other accompaniments like chips or masala chips, and for drinks, there is sodas and milkshake. For less than six dollars, the fish meal is good serving portions, and with the need for more organic and authentic foods, this location comes highly recommended.
